The Federation Dentaire Internationale (FDI) World
Dental Federation is the federation of National Dental Associations
founded by Dr Charles Godon on 15 August 1900 in Paris. The
membership of the FDI comprises of 146 National Dental Associations
from 135 countries representing more than 750,000 dentists
worldwide.
This year, Malaysia will host the FDI Annual World
Dental Congress 2001 from 27 September - 1 October at the Putra
World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur. The outstanding scientific and
educational programme will include international and local speakers
covering topics that involve the art and science and practice of
oral health care, interactive workshops, open discussions, and
sharing of information and experience.
Participants to the Congress will also attend the
World Dental Exhibition, which will be the largest and most
up-to-date dental exhibition ever held in this region. The
exhibition is an integral part of the Congress as it will showcase
the technical advancements, innovations and latest developments in
the field of dentistry.
